In 2006, my childhood friend Vince and I began to realize the ever growing numbers of cell phone users across America. We recognized that we are living in an era where the classic home phone we have known all our lives was quickly becoming obsolete. The future of communication will inevitably not only have a cell phone in every home across this great country, but rather a cell phone for every person in every home! With that in mind, we began asking ourselves… If millions of Americans already have adopted a cell phone as their main line of communication, and those people upgrade their phones nearly every one or two years, where do all the old phones go?
Sadly, the answer to this question is that the majority of all used cell phones end up as solid waste in our landfills or they are cluttering up our junk drawers at home.
